How PPS maintains long lasting partnerships

Here at PPS we pride ourselves in providing a personal service to every single client and candidate we speak to. Being an independent business makes us different to the larger consultancies – as we are able to provide a tailor-made service to clients rather than a standardised service. This enables us to meet the needs and requirements of our clients and in turn gaining us a large number of long standing partners.

Each client has a small team of consultants working for them – this ensures that our PPS consultants – who are all HR and recruitment professionals – have met their clients and understand exactly what they are looking for and what type of service they expect. It is also reassuring for clients to speak to someone they know every time they call the PPS number.

PPS Temporary Manged Service

An example of the bespoke candidate system (MORS) that PPS creates for its clients

PPS also have a bespoke candidate tracking system (MORS) and the IT team are located in the office – so if our clients need anything adding or changed to their system– this can be done with a quick turnaround. We have consultants located in London, the Midlands and now in the South West – so we are always able to go and meet our clients wherever they are located.

Every quarter, we meet with our clients to discuss the Management Information aspect of our service. PPS’ IT experts use the latest Microsoft SQL server technologies to provide you with all the  information that you need relating to the recruitment activity for each vacancy. At the meetings we discuss what has happened on their account since the last quarter and talk about what works and what hasn’t – it is an opportunity to improve the service and for it to become as seamless as possible. This is done over lunch – naturally!

We have weekly conference calls – this is a chance to discuss the weekly progress of each account. This keeps our clients informed of the progress on each of their roles.

PPS also conduct Exit and Retention interviews. The interviews find out what our clients’ own staff feel works well within their company, and identifies any areas for improvement. Through these interviews we have been able to prevent staff members from dropping through the net and leaving the organisation.

Another part of PPS’ valued added service is the surveys that we send to Recruiting Managers and candidates after the recruitment process has ended. It is an opportunity for them to voice their opinions on the service PPS have provided. Using this feedback, we
identify any potential areas where we can improve our offering.

We managed to raise nearly £5,000 for charity with Homeless International

We also organise events! On Thursday 12th May 2011, PPS together with Homeless International hosted a very successful charity event in which key contacts within the industry, including Housing Association clients and suppliers, came along to support the cause and spread understanding of the importance of the charity. In total just under £5,000 was raised from ticket sales, donations and the auction on the evening. This was an excellent networking event and showed that, we at PPS, are not just your ‘run of the mill’ recruitment consultants – we are a team who are socially responsible and passionate about helping others – with some exceptional event organisational skills to match!

If one of our team comes across an article that we feel would be relevant and of interest to one of our clients, we do not hesitate in sending this across. We feel that sharing information shows that we are interested in what our clients do, shows our knowledge of the industry in which we and our clients work – and that they are never far away from our thoughts – now, you don’t get many consultants like that now, do you?!
